There are many attractive bathing sites, fantastic bays and sandy beaches, surrounded by pine-trees and crystal clear waters. Rab is surrounded by many islands and therefore famous as El Dorado for nautical enthusiasts. Rab is an extraordinary green island. The air is mild and full of fragrances of uncounted Mediterranean flowers and plants. A culinary highlight is the native, well-tasting lamb and the fish freshly caught from the sea. Many inhabitants speak Italian, German or English. There is a ferry from Stinica on the mainland, to the island of Rab. The crossing lasts about 12 min.
